Angerot have maintained one constant since their debut album, The Splendid Iniquity, the involvement of guest musicians. And boy have they really expanded upon that idea with this new one! The name of the album, Seofon, is the Old English word for the number seven. That name plays a significant role as it alludes to 7 songs featuring 7 different drummers from prominent extreme metal acts including Kevin Paradis (Benighted, Aronious), Lord Marco (Six Feet Under, Sleep Terror), Zach Simmons (Goatwhore, Acid Bath), Thomas Haywood (Grave Plague, Redefining Darkness Records), Pierce Williams (ex-Skeletal Remains, AEnigmatum), Daray (Dimmu Borgir) and Derek Roddy (ex-Hate Eternal, Serpent’s Rise). Seofon is a truly unique experiment in perception and delivery, with each drummer delivering their own distinct interpretation of what playing on an Angerot track sounds like to them.
